Detroit YEA Partners

Detroit Youth Empowerment Awards was created by CLASS Agency in 2020 in an effort to reach and impact youth in the City of Detroit, while contact was limited. The response from the community, youth and surrounding organizations has lead CLASS to continue this powerful program every year, marking 2024 the 5th annual event.

 CLASS Agency is a local non-profit, organization that provides Prevention, Intervention, and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment to young people and adults throughout Detroit. 

 A.C.T.I.O.N. (Active Coalition That Influences Outcomes in this Neighborhood), founded by and is an extension of C.L.A.S.S. (Changing Lives and Staying Sober), is a coalition made up of 12 influential community sectors that have joined together for the common purpose of addressing the rampant, systemic and generational use of underage drinking, drug and tobacco use and its impact upon the youth in the 48219 zip code area.
